They are honest mechanics who will tell you when a repair can wait.

I agree with the previous comment. They are good at letting you know what needs to be fixed now and what can wait. Volvo service can be expensive and these guys are less expensive than a dealership.

I've got an old 1993 940 Volvo sedan that kept conking out. My former AAA- certified mechanics tried to fix the problem 6-7 times and failed. I then took it to a Volvo dealership, who also failed. Finally, i looked these guys up on CarTalk, and the owner and chief mechanic, Hovik, was able to diagnose and fix the problem. From then on, which was about 3 years ago, i've only used this shop and been very, very satisfied. Hovik is a really smart diagnostician, and has figured out every problem that's come up. My car is now at 214,000 miles, and still getting about 24 mpg w/AC going and new tires on. I'm hoping for another 100,000 miles with this mechanics shop! I highly recommend them.
