1st time Bob took on an extremely difficult starter replacement, He did not know that on the trooper he would have to drop the entire exhaust and cross member to remove it. He did not change his price from the original estimate although the time was nearly double. 2nd repair, Bob took on a difficult job of repairing several lifters and overhead cams on one side of the 3.2L V6 (a very troublesome engine) Not only did he repair the right side with the bad lifters, he also meticulously serviced the left side, cleaning out all of the carbon buildup that caused the lifter/rocker/cam failure on the right. He did a thorough job on the complete top end of the engine. The Trooper now runs better than ever. He kept the price well within his estimate such that I felt compelled to give his a generous as possible tip. I was going to dump this car but now I'm pretty sure that I can keep it at least to 250K.
