Ron is a great mechanic and is very honest and straightforward. He always keeps me fully informed of exactly what the problem is and what it will take to repair it properly. He makes it very clear what all of my options are, including the most inexpensive options. His prices are reasonable and never tries to "sell" me on questionable or "iffy" options or repairs. I leave his shop feeling confident in knowing the job was done right.

I stumbled onto Ron's Auto Clinic a few years ago because his shop is just up the street from me and I knew my car wouldn't make it far. Now I wish I had known of him sooner. Since then I have recommended him to a number of friends and they are all converts, so I know it's not just me. :) What I like best is that he is super reasonable and I've never felt like he was trying to rip me off in any way. He's super honest and straight with you. He will tell you your options (ex: part from a dealer, after market part, used part, etc). He has even suggested not doing the repairs (which would have been money in his pocket) because the vehicle wasn't worth it. Some mechanics would happily take your money no matter what, but he's different. The shop is located in North Park, behind the Liquor store on the corner of Alabama and University. It's kind of off the beaten path, but word of mouth seems to keep them really busy. The only downside is that he's not open late or on weekends, but he does good work so I suppose he deserves a life too. :)
