The guys over at this place are the best! Although they dont have towing service, they arranged for me to be towed up there when I broke down on the freeway 20 miles away. They fixed the problem within 3 hours... The time I knew that he was the mechanic for me was when I dropped my car in for a tune-up on my way to work, about an hour later I get a call at work and it was Dave telling me that I didnt need a tuneup. Everything was fine, he checked out everything . I have never had someone call me and say I DONT need work done.....I thought to myself "now there's an honest guy". Have used him ever since. Theyve been known to stay open a few extra minutes so I could get there to pick my car up, etc.... Its the little things like that combined with the honesty that makes this place far superior to the others in this area.

I am writing this assuming this is the Rancho San Diego Unocal --- I used to work up the road from this store, and Dave is one of the best! He is very cheap about spending your dollars, not wanting to replace any parts that don't need replacing. He shops to find the best prices on parts your car may need, and treats all customers with a great deal of respect. His type of service station is the type you want to have in your neighborhood. I would much rather have many more service station's like this, instead of quicky-marts that I never use.

This is a California Gold Shield station. They are approved by the DMV to certify Gross Polluters. They are always very busy so they less motivated to cheat motorists to make business for themselves. I highly recommend them for smog certification related repairs.
