I had a 1988 Jeep Cherokee Laredo that was a complete pile of s***, and I spend a great deal of time down there at the shop, and Don was always willing to explain to me what the problem was, and usually even offered information on how to fix it myself. Auto Tech specializes in what they call "The alternative to dealer services," so they'll do anything the dealer'll do and for cheaper. Well, hopefully you have the same great experience with Auto Tech that I did.

The waiting room is barren. Bring a bag lunch and a book. No nearby businesses, although the trolley station is about 1/4 mile away. These folks know Volvos, even the ones from the 70s and 80s. Cheaper than the dealer but just as competent.

I have been taking my Volvos and other cars to Autotech for many years. Tom & John are great and explain what repairs are needed and which can be put off. I always take my car there before I go on a long trip so that they can do a thorough check so that I have no problems on the road. They also use much better quality parts than many other shops or auto chain stores. That is a very important consideration when looking at auto repairs.
