Leonard owns the shop, and, with his parts guy, Gene, takes really good care of anyone who comes in with an automotive problem. They have demonstrated their honesty time and time again--for instance, by recommending a less expensive repair than the one I asked for. Plus, they are great fun to deal with--they will send you on your way laughing.

Leonard Rapozo, the owner/manager has worked on a whole damn string of cars for me for 35 years and counting -- Fiat(3) Alfa Romeo (2) Peugeot GMC half ton, Subaru (2) VW (4). He and his crew are competent, honest, straight, dependable and fun. They're way better than the nearest VW dealer we bought the VWs from a dealer who couldn't diagnose and then couldn't fix problems we had when we finally backed him into a corner. I trust these guys implicitly and recommend them unreservedly.

I went to school with Leonard Raposo and about 6 years ago I found out where he was and that he had a shop nearby. Before that I always had my dad to work on my cars and was lost as to where to take my car for repairs. I started taking my car to Modern Classics and been going ever since. I agree with the other comment--they always send you away laughing no matter how much you have to pay for your repairs!
