Steve and the other mechanics know me and my cars. They always do only what needs to be done, in one instance they evaluated the very expense repairs that the local dealer had insisted be done to my car and (free of charge) tested and test drove the car with me and found that the work did not need to be done, therefore saving me at least a $1,000!

My car would stall whenever I put on the brakes. I took it to them at about 8:30 a.m. They gave me an estimate of $62.50 and said they would try to look at it sometime that morning. At about noon, they called me and said it was fixed and that the cost was $32.50. I was stunned. When I went to pick up my car, they (one of the Steves) explained that I had a manifold vacuum leak and detailed how they had fixed it. I just couldn't believe that I didn't get talked down to, shafted, or ripped off...The dealership would have charged me 10 times that, I'm sure. It would have taken all day, too.

We have taken our 1985 Volvo to Steve for years. We finally sold it last year but we sold it for more than the booked value because it ran like a top, it looked almost new (thanks to my husband) and everything on it worked! I could have sold it 10 times over.
