Sam Smith has helped our familiy with cars since 1081 when he was the smog man at a Chevron station in our neighborhood. He would give tips to fix in order for the car to pass and it always did. Later I noticed him in church at the same time I needed a mechanic for total auto care for myself. Over the years he has worked on evey brand I have brought in as well as given his opinion of cars I was considering buying. I have never been disappointed. If Sam doesn't have time or feel it is within his expertise, he is up front and says so. Often he gives a couple of ways of repairing that are different price ranges if one's budget is low. He gives rides when he can but that is not to be counted upon. He is a ways from town and is well worth the drive as this man has the utmost integrity. I know I can trust him implicitly.

No one other than Sam gets the chance to work on my Mercury, a fifteen-year old relic. Not only does he reasonably handle recurring maintence, he works on any problem until it is solved, one episode resulted in consults with other mechanics in order to restore peace and harmony. The only negative comment I can offer is his location - out of the way, off the beaten path for bus service, no loaners - but he is worth any inconvenience. You can bet I'm a biased customer!
