We recommend ER Automotive (707)789-0793. We were quoted $3,000.00 for a repair by the Chevrolet Shop in town so we parked our vehicle and walked 30 miles a week. One day a friend who had been told he needed a several thousand dollar repair at another shop went to Eddie and his repair ended up being about $20.00! Our friend said "do me a favor and have Eddie look at your vehicle. Eddie his wife and three kids MADE A HOUSE CALL TO LOOK AT OUR VEHICLE. He is ASI certified. I can't remember anyone ever making a house call. We had taken our vehicle to AAMCO to have the transmission fluid changed and the problem happened on the way home from AAMCO...we had such a loud noise coming from the vehicle you could hear us a block away...we had it towed to AAMCO they said it was not their fault...now our air conditioning compressor was bad. We took the vehicle to the Chevrolet Dealer who told us we needed a $3,000.00 repair. Eddie came over and without our saying anything said I hear something strange in the transmission....he ran the vehicle hours trying to duplicate the sound...he said if a bearing is going bad it will not be on again off again...he took our vehicle back to his garage and dropped the transmission pan and found a fluid that appeared to be like water ...he drained the fluid(AAMCO put in a few miles ago) and said the sound is gone and he is going to run the vehicle on the highway and also in the yard to try to get any other sound to kick in...Anyway....the result is our car runs fine and does not make a sound that is so loud we have to be towed in. That's it for now....will update if we find out more! He is an HONEST MECHANIC.
