After driving Atlanta-to-California for a job assignment, I dropped off my car at Greg Donovan's for a routine oil change. My mom and I strolled over to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Greg called to say he'd found a leak and a problem with the intake manifold. He DIDN'T start work till I gave express permission--my big mistake for putting him off. Turned out to be a huge job (for which there had been a TSB that my Georgia mechanic missed) and we were delayed a couple of nights. Greg went through my auto service reports and interviewed me thoroughly; found and printed the TSB that explained the problem; chauffeured us to get a rental car; stayed overtime to finish the job; didn't charge me for labor when he realized after putting the engine back together that they'd missed a second leak, had his son clean the inside of our car; went through the report line by line with me to make sure I knew what he did to the car; cautioned me about things I still need to take care of.
