I haven't usually had great experinces with "service station" mechanics her in the Orange County area - usually they can manage to *not* screw up an oil change, but that's pretty much the limit. These guys have been great, catching minor problems before they become big ones and fixing minor problems that *look* like big ones (and frequently not charging for them....like the torn vacum hose that made it look like my Jeep's transfer case was about to go south.....perfect opportunity for a high $$ "repair", and they only charged me for the oil change I'd asked for....and that was only $19). And they do a great job of keeping me informed as they go along, explaining any options or repercusions related to making (or not making) repairs....including recommending *against* things that could make them money...gotta love that. Have a couple of friend with older cars that these guys have been keeping running with only minor repairs for a couple of years. On top of all that, these are definitely CAR GUYS - the collection of hot rods and immaculate restorations driven by the mechanics here are a pretty good indication of how much they love rolling iron.....
