Extremely honest, pretty competent. They hate Fords but that is all I own.

We were visiting this area several years ago and while driving through McArthur we had a rear wheel bearing sieze. We asked at the local auto parts house for a recomendation and they recomended Hiway Garage. McArthur is not much of a town and the Hiway garage is not an impressive place. Lawrence, the owner, got us in, replaced the bearing, staying well after closing time to finish up and was very reasonable in his charges. We had expected to be delayed and robbed as we were tourists but he couldn't have treated us better. We moved nearby later and have taken our cars to him many times and have never been dissatisfied. On a couple of occasions he had spent time trying to troubleshoot our problems and refused to charge us because he could not find the problem. We have gone behind his back to pay something for his time. Anyone going there can expect a high level of honesty and competance and caring. My background-I'm 65 years old and have done most of my own maintenance on my cars, bobcat, airplanes etc. I am a licensed aircraft and powerplant mechanic and worked as a aircraft mechanic for several years
