I brought my car to John after a high pitched noise erupted from the engine and the car started to overheat. I found him on this website, and everything people said here was true. I gave him the car at 12 noon, and by 530 he had diagnosed the problem (frozen water pump), and replaced it for a reasonable price. He was friendly and everyone in the shop seemed very competant. Very impressed.

John Piechowski is a great guy and a fantastic mechanic. He never tells you to do anything to your car that isn't necessary, he does the job right, his prices are reasonable, and if something is still going wrong after he works on the car, you bring it back and he fixes it again quickly and without added charge. He looks out for his customers, who are a loyal and growing group. I've been going to John for 3 years, and my boyfriend has been going for over a decade. We wouldn't take our cars anywhere else!

John Piechowski is an honest mechanic; one I consider myself lucky to have found. He was recommended to us by Ed Little - another good mechanic on this site - to work on our Hyundai. His prices were fair, his answers were clear, and his repairs were well-done, so we began to take our Ford pickup and Dodge minivan to him as well. He treats my wife as fairly and as courteously as he does me. I have to include 2 quick stories to do him justice. When the Ford dealership told me I needed a new radiator and cooling system, John revealed that all I had was leaky hoses. His honesty saved me nearly $1000. When my Dodge was having problems with the transmission hitching, John discovered that the transmission fluid was just too low. All he charged me was the cost of the fluid. Bottom line - given the golden opportunity to make a quick buck, John opts to act fairly and honestly. All of the legitimate repairs I've needed on my vehicles have been done well and for a reasonable cost. This guy is worth his weight in gold.

John is one of the most honest mechanics I know. I have been taking my car there over five years. He was reccommened to me by a friend, and then found out that two other people I know also use his services. I would not take my car anywhere else. A Loyal Customer

I had just replaced my own valve cover gasket and broke two bolts off in the process. Freaked out, I took it to John and he calmly told me to go to the hardware store, buy two bolts ($1.99 total) and explained how I should get the old bolts out. "Or if you want I can do it for $70, but I'm sure you can do it yourself." Now I'm having trouble with the car's computer. He hooks up a handheld scanner, gives me some advice and sends me happily on my way. He's friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla that i bought used 3 years ago. I've had only oil changes in the past 3 years and nothing else. I thought that my car probably needed a major tune up which will probably cost around $200. So i brought my car into this shop, and told him I wanted a major tune up. John was really nice and told me he'll check out the car and see if it really needs one, and that he'll recommend to do only those things he saw needed to be done. So in the end, my total came out to only $106! John could of made a profit and done the major tune up for $200, but he was very honest and did only what was needed. A great shop indeed and hard to find people like John and his staff.

I took my truck to get the tail light fixed. The dealer quoted me $100 just to install the light. The part was an extra $200! I bought the part, but took my truck to Piecholoski, and he fixed it right away, and when I asked how much, he said it was on me, no charge! I couldn't believe how classy that was. The dealer wanted $100 bucks, and he did it for free. I highly recommend him, and I will be taking my truck to him for any future work.

I can't imagine ever taking my cars anywhere else. I found this place through this site, and I have never had better, friendlier or more reasonably priced service for my cars (or anything else, for that matter). The only area I can't give 5 stars to is "They respond well when they screw something up" because they've never screwed anything up on my cars!

I first went to Piechowski's in 2002 off a referral from this website. I have been a loyal customer since then. Here is another example of why I keep going back to Piechowski's. I was forced to take my car to another shop because it wouldn't start - I live 40 miles away from Piechowski's. I called Piechowski's and John took the time to verify the quote from the other shop. This is another self-less act John and his team are famous for. Even though I live 40 miles away from his shop he does all work on my car and my wife's car. They have always treated my wife with courtesy and respect.
