Gary and Joe have been at that location..Melrose and Gower..across the street from Paramount Studios for years. I've seen them first hand how well they treat any customer that drives in with an immediate car problem. You have that feeling that they are honest and giving you decent prices. A lot folks working at Paramount drop off some expensive cars for maintenance...in addition to a lot of other cars covering the price spectrum. What I especially like is whatever you have brought the car in for.. they always look over the car for tire pressure..transmission oil, filters etc..without having to ask. They took care of my '88 Buick Park Ave. 188 thousand miles before I sold it. One time I had a steering fluid problem. After I managed to get it there, Gary immediately roadtested it..and fixed the problem. Try to get that kind of service from Costco or Pepboys etc.. Because I wanted to establish a relationship w/ these guys..i would have my oil changes..tire replacements etc.from them...and believe me they're prices were not out of line. I've steered several friends and neighbors to Gary and Joe. I have no financial interest in their small business..but like what they're doing and just wanted to share..with folks in the greater Hollywood, Ca. area..

I was referred to Gary & Joe at West Hollywood Auto over 10 years ago by a friend. Since then I have referred so many people that I've lost count - this is how good these guys are. They are always ready to help, make repairs quickly, and explain everything. Plus thier prices are fair and they are always in a good mood (which helps when you are having car trouble!). Try them once and you'll never go anywhere else.

I always had heard about this place called West Hollywood Auto. Two brothers, Gary and Joe, who could fix and solve any problem on any car. But it sounded like it was too good to be true. So I tried it out and took my car in for a check engine light problem. My car had already been to a dozen other shops, plus 3 Lexus dealers, and after thousands of dollars spent, no one could fix it. I talked to Gary and took my car in to be fixed. He said he needs 2-3 hours to diagnose the car, and he will find me the problem. After only 1 hour, Gary called and told me I had a problem with one of my wires that had melted and was causing the check engine light to go on, while other mechanics kept putting in different parts and dealers kept saying the same thing (you need a new oxygen sensor, which cost $500). After telling me the problem, Gary fixed it in less than an hour, and I was good to go within 2 hours of diagnosis and repairs. Diagnosis cost me $75 and repairs cost me $60. I had my car fixed for $135 in about 2 hours. These guys are the best, and they are the only ones that will work on my car. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest, friendly, and great priced mechanic.
