I've been blessed with these two brothers(sound familiar) since I purchased my used Volvo. They have been at the same location for years. They are fair, honest and stand behind their work. They have usually been able to give me lift back to my place. Plus they are open on Saturdays.

Aziz was recommended to me by a female friend who loved the way he treated her- he explained the problem in a way that made her understand what was going on with her car. I have been a loyal customer for over two years, having owned two older Volkswagens. When my timing belt went last fall, causing some engine damage, Aziz took pity on me and while my engine was apart, he replaced a few minor parts that would have worn out soon at no charge. He explained that the parts themselves were cheap, but the labor to get at them is pricey. Aziz cares about his customers and their cars, and I highly recommend him.

I am new to the city and I was having terible troubles with my saab. I found this shop on this web site and I was delighted with them. Adis went above and beyond the call of duty for me, he found every tiny thing that was wrong with my car, gave me an honest evaluation of what I was facing with the car and did an expert job repairing everything. His attention to detail and love of cars led him to go in and find the little things like burnt out bulbs and what not that I always forget to mention to anyone but that are a thorn in my side at night and repaired them for me while he was working on other parts of the car. I was so pleased to find such an honest, dependable, and reasonable mechanic I hate to leave LA for fear I will never find anyone I am as pleased with to work on my car again. It's like having a whole new car now that he has gone in and fixed all of the things that guys who didn't really know saabs screwed up on my car. I highly recommend this shop!

The guys at Barrington Motors are the real deal: honest, friendly, direct, helpful, and completely professional. They have worked on my WV Cabrio twice now and I have been thrilled with their excellent service and attentiveness. I felt comfortable asking questions, and they kept me updated about what was going on with my car and what work they planned to do in response. They charged me a fair and reasonable price, which is exactly the price they originally quoted to me. And my car has never run better!

Okay. First time I went there, it was only for an oil change. No biggy. Second time it was to fix an oil leak and replace the back gate shocks. The guys there are super nice and explained everything very clearly. I would recommend them to anyone who likes nice people who change fair prices and get the job done right the first time.

I went into the shop to get my brakes fixed becasue after calling around they had the cheapest prices in SM. When I went there, they said I didn't need them fixed they were just dusty but I needed my headlights replaced and they did that. They were freindly, courteous and trustworthy and saved me about $300. Thanks guys! Anyone can email me if they have further questions.

An A+ recommendation. Although BMWs are not included in their intro here, I phoned them due to their glowing user comments to see if they might recommend someone for my 1989 325i. I got Adis on the phone, told him I was in need of a 120,000-mile service, and he said he could do it. We talked for while longer -- he was courteous and sounded knowledgable about BMWs -- so I made an appointment. He did a comprehensive check of the car, performed all work that needed to be done, did nothing that didn't need doing -- and offered the car back on time and for the very fair price he quoted. He is now the guy for my car. He even gave me a recommendation for a guy for my wife's Infiniti.

Based on excellent reviews, I took my Jetta over after a couple of years using the dealer for service. What a difference! The prices are reasonable, and these are guys you can trust to do only what needs to be done. Highly recommended.

These guys are UNREAL. I dealt with Aziz, called him on a Thursday, said my 88 convertible bmw had ac problems. He could not take me till Monday morning. So I went to a very highly recomennded shop in the Valley. In the Valley they said I could not retrofit my freon to the latest standard, and the repairs will be $1200. This went against everything I read on the internet. Barrington motors confirmed everything I read. I came in Monday morning, dropped off the car at 8:30. 10:30 I got a call with all the estimates, I greenlighted it, and by 2pm, the car was ready. No surprises, no hidden costs, no ex-post findings. This is unreal. These guys just got a customer for life. I recommend them even if you have to drive here from afar. If you live on the west side and don't use them, then you have no idea what you are missing out on.

I went to Barrington Motors based on the Car Talk recommendations, as well as 3 more positive reviews on Yelp.com. They were friendly on the phone, answered my questions, asked a couple of their own to make sure they had in stock what they needed. They are open Saturday mornings, which is great for me, and it was only the next Saturday that I could get it. When they were unable to finish the job (couldn't get the service light reset) they called me later in the week to inform me that their computer was fixed, and when I could come in. They took me as soon as I drove up, and it took about 10 minutes. Except for recalls, I expect never to speak to the VW dealership again, which is good, because they are a nightmare.
