I own a 1939 Buick Special. One of the previous owners had Dave at Pickering's put together most of the mechanical parts of the car, and he did an outstanding job. When I bought the car I didn't know what was in it, even what kind of engine. After 5 or so years, dave still remembered and told me everything about it. He is honest and explains things quite well. He could easily have ripped me off, but didn't even try, unlike other shops I've been too. Pickerings advertises that they specialize in classic cars, but they work on most anything. They don't do smog, but I've accepted his recommendation on who to go to for that (I also have a 1980 cutlass). You just can't beat a helpful man of integrity.

Originally from the San Fernando Valley and am so glad I found a good repair shop here in San Diego. I was given an estimate by the dealer that was outrageous and got the job done at Pickerings for half the price. It took a day or two longer to get done but the job was done right and I didn't need to come back. BL
