SMALL TROUBLES AND IGNORANCE AND LACK OF HONESTY AMONG MECHANICS CAN LEAD TO BIG LOSTS: This is my story: I moved to theHigh Desert five years ago. I had hard time to find a good or an honest mechanic. My latest experience before G&M) was with SUNLAND FORD DEALERSHIP in Victorville, CA. In late September,I took the car to perform a ReCALL regarding the axels. They were supposed to glue the axels and leave the car for 24 hours for the glue to dry. Instead, I was called in five hours to pick it up while the glue was still dripping heavily. The report showed no problem whatsoever in the car including no oil leaks. In the first week of October, I took the car for oil change. I was sent to the QUICK LANE. I was told that the car will be ready in an hour. Actually, it took 3 hours and 47 minutes!! Only for engine oil change`. I got the report. It contained half dozen of problems including: " NUMEROUS OIL LEAKS FROM UNKNOWN SOURCES." Despite the fact, I haven't drove in the short period between the two visit except to the grocery store which is two three miles from home. Even my children walk with me back and forth from and to school which is 2 miles away. After the second visit, I noticed oild dripping very slowly. Every week I add about half quart of oil. Last week, I was retuning from the grocery stores. When I parked I notices oil leakage more than usual. So, I waited two days. I took the bus to get few engine oil quarts. I drove to a mechanic in Apple Valley on Manhasset Street. He told me that it is the cap and it will cost at least $250. Then I went to another mechanic in Apple Valley on Bear Valley Road, I was told it is the Seal and it will cost at least $450. Then I went to the RESCUE MISSION in Victorville, CA to join in celebrating the Thanksgiving a day earlier. There I sopke to an elderly Christian lady who recommended to me G&M. So, today I was at G&M at 7:45 am (official openning 8 am). I got in. I was immediately helped by Travis and Sharon who are such wonderfull people. They informed me that the inspection will be done in 45-90 minutes. They offered me a ride in the SHUTTLE with my wife and baby. But we decided to stick around in town since there are many things around. I returned in one hour by myself. Sharon with her big smile: " I got to good news. There is no major problem. It is just a cracked hose wich needs to be replaced. It is on the way." I was so relieved. And I asked: " How much? She replied: " $159." I felt I am more relieved since my wife and I are out of work for a while and I just left my wife at a career center. After that, I walked to the JOSH who was working on the car. He was smiling from the heart like everybody there. He explained everything to me in full details. Finally, I returned to the reception room to continue narrating my long story to Sharon and Travis whom I never met before. And indeed, checking the ancient fuel pumps and the objects there, followed by some TV news and reading magazines. And more good news followed. The cost is $139. I love these people. I am going back for any car trouble. Off sure, I let my family and friends know instead of driving the long way from the HIGH DESERT to Long Beach, Downey, Lakewood were their old mechanics located.

Well, my car engine started pouring coolant on the engine the thanksgiving night while I was driving 70 miles/h. Thankfully, I wasn't far from home so, immediately, I took side streets. I stopped for awhile in the freezing cold. unquestionably, I opened the hood to cool the engine. Happily, I had a whole two gallons of coolant in the trunk. Freezingly, I drove the few blocks to home. Excitedly, I found that my brother brought back my SUV= home. Honestly, I am very ignorant about cars. I didn't want to take it to my regular mechanic for 3 years called A and B Auto Repair because after I bought this car 5 weeks ago. The engine oil was dripping vey slowely and nothing serious. Unhesitantly, he mentioned something about gasket placed improperly and needs to be replaced for about $600. I randomly, spoke to my best friend few hours ago in awhile since Easter. Positively, he recommended G&M to me. Rushingly since the shop is within two miles from me, I drove there. I really and utterly liked the people. It feels like old school mechanic shop. Smilingly, I was welcomed by Travis who turned me to Sharon. Instantly, we agreed on inspection. Slowely, I turned around to walk home waiting for their call. While departing, a mechanic, breathlessly, ran to me to tell me that their is no reason for inspection because regarding to the coolant, it was only little home came off and need the ring to be tightened around it; and regarding to the little spill, it was the defective ccrocked bolt. Pleasingly, I waited for 1/2 hour. And smilingly, I paid the $10 for the hose being placed back and the regular cost for oil change and $2 something for the bolt. Unshakably, I shall be dealing with G&M always.

I got a call from a crazy friend. His name is Hasan. He informed with ecitement that he found THE ONE MECHANIC he was searching for. He is always looking to find one excellent mechanic for life as well plummer and other things. So, what? I drove their to Hesperia. I found the place located in the center of twon. There is everything around for individuals and families to do. I had bought the brakes and rooters for my mobile and came to get them on. I asked them too to do the tune up and fixed the sendors, All in one place. They gave me 2 hours. I decided to walk in town. But I found their cool coffe shop on thr lrft hand side. I love caffes. I went there, did some work and read the nesw paper. After two ahours and fifteen minutes, I was back. No complaint, Good people.. Good services and lovely caffe. Whenever I am passing by town, I'll stop at the caffe regardless. You really feel at home.
