My husband worked with the owner's wife more than 20 years ago. Despite the fact that we must travel over 30 miles one- way to get to the shop, we've been taking our cars to them for everything since 1984. Gene runs the most honest, dependable auto shop that we've ever dealt with. They've worked on our ancient Chevy pick-up (without laughing - at least not too much), Toyota Corolla, Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, Nissan 240SZ, Nissan pick-up; Ford Ranger; Ford Explorer, and our current vehicles: Ford F-150 and Chrylser PT Cruiser. The folks at the front counter treat everyone with respect and good humor. The waiting area is air-conditioned, clean, well lit and comfortable. If you need a ride, they will take you to a nearby auto rental agency or to your nearby home. In the rare instance when something wasn't repaired properly the first time, it was repaired with speed and apologies the second time around. You can't ask for a better auto repair experience. Dealer centers should take note!!!

Certified Auto is truly a great place to have your car repaired, they are honest and helpful. I'm glad I found these guys. They went way beyond what I expected and thought that was nice.

We found Certified Automotive through an Auto Club recommendation (repair facilities recommended by other AAA members). Our initial experience with them was to have them perform a multi-point check of our car to decide if we wanted to keep it, or buy another vehicle. One of the problems we were facing was--what we thought was--a bad oil leak (based on what we were seeing on the garage floor). This problem turned out not to be an issue involving oil, but rather a pan holding the transmission fluid which had been tightened incorrectly at the dealership. Certified Automotive could have told us all kinds of things about our leak (and collected big $$), but instead corrected the way that the pan was secured--very inexpensively. They will do little things here & there (e.g., replace bulbs they see have burned out) at no cost. They once put in a door switch for us, and told us to let them know if that took care of the problem, and they'd collect the $5- $7 from us when we came back. There's a car wash about 1/2 block from Certified Automotive; when we have work done that costs a little more than than an oil change or the like, they'll take our car over and have it washed for us. They are not open on Saturdays, so I gave them a "4" instead of a "5" rating. BUT, they do offer an easy drop- off option so you can leave your car there before they open, and put your keys in a lock box. They periodically send us a discount coupon, and for larger repairs, they offer a AAA discount. Also, they have given us a call to see if we've had any further problems since the repair. They warranty their work--and the part that they install-- for a year. We had them replace a motorized radio antenna about 10 months ago, and it just started acting up. They said to bring it back, and they'll put in a new one at NO charge. We usually don't wait around when they're working on our car (if you need it, they'll provide shuttle transportation for you), but on the few occasions we've waited there because they didn't need the car for very long, we could tell from the customers coming and going that they have a large, loyal customer base. (We began to feel like we were the last ones to know about Certified Automotive!)

I'm a female college student and this was the first time I had brought my car to get fixed by myself. These people were great, really nice and everything. The car had been making really loud squeeking noises, and it turned out it was only the wheel cover. They took the cover off and didn't even charge me. I would definately recommend them.

My family has been going to Certified for quite some time and they take extremely good care of their customers. I have found they are trying to do the best they can in all situations. There have been some mistakes, but I have found them to always be striving for customers' best interest. I have recently moved and can't make it back to get my work done. I hope to find somewhere that is even close to as good. The one drawback is they aren't open on the weekend. But the car wash is so nice (I always forget and get so excited when I get there).
