Mr. Takeda truly enjoys his work and takes excellent care of my Japanese cars. It is pleasant to find a mechanic that treats my car like his car. Mr. Takeda uses all factory parts so the brakes don't squeak or the timing belt does not break before it's time. The prices are very reasonable for the high caliber of service. I highly recommend anyone in the Los Angeles/Orange county area to use this honest mechanic.

MR TAKEDA IS ONE FINE AND HONEST MECHANIC. I DRIVE OVER 25 MILES FOR HIM TO WORK ON MY INFINITI Q-45. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I can't tell you how glad I am that I saw this mechanic listed on the CarTalk website for recommended shops. My xTerra had a service bill of just under $800.00 from the dealer. Takeda looked at the Nissan service invoice and gave me recommendations of what my xTerra really needed to have done. My bill....$69.96. That's right, WOW!

I have been going to Takeda since I moved to the LA area in 2000. Even though I moved away from his shop, I still drive 40 r/t to take my car to him. Why? Because he's honest, he's meticulous, he's reasonable, and he's friendly. And he goes out of his way to keep you happy. Some of the little things he does: - Always prices aftermarket parts as well as OEM, and gives you the option. - Saves the parts he replaces to show you when he's done. - Lets you pick up your car when it's convenient for you. - Sticks to his time and price estimates, and if he needs to diverge from either he CALLS YOU FIRST so no surprises. - Washes your car whenever you take it in for service (most of the time, he does it himself. I just think it's cool that I'll come in sometimes to pick up the car and he's just drying it off ....) There's lots more .... suffice to say that I've been very happy. I've also referred two other customers to him for major work and they've come away very impressed. Give him a try.

Mr. Takeda would try to save money for you by only replacing the parts that need to be replaced. They had an unexpected delay on my timing belt on Saturday and they worked till midnight to finish the job! They are honest when they screwed up (cracked belt cover) and take full responsibility.

I tried this place based on their reviews. I wasn't disappointed. They gave me straight answers and suggested only the repairs that needed to be done. The prices were way better than what the dealer quoted. I think I found my new mechanic for my Lexus.

Thanks to the review, I had a wonderful experience at Takeda Ent. Masatoshi only recommends repairs that are necessary at the time instead of going with scheduled maintenance recommended by the manufacturer at a reasonable price. Also, takes the time to explain why certain repairs/maintenance is necessary and certain ones can be done at a later time.

I took my 1990 Isuzu Trooper to Mike Takeda because I read about him through comments of his other customers that I found here on the Car Talk website. I fully agree with comments I found that Mr. Takeda is an honest and competent mechanic that I can trust. I have taken my vehicle to him on three separate occasions. The first time, I had him check simple issues of which he assured me were no big deal. A malfunctioning tail light and battery were nothing more than a couple of loose wires and a burnt fuse. He fixed it in a snap and charged me nothing. The second time, he conducted an extensive check on my truck as I prepared for a road trip looping around the western US. I had him change all four shocks as they were in very bad condition. He adjusted the clutch issue I'd had for some time and he adjusted my brakes at no cost! It may not have taken much effort on his part, but it was a nice touch. He also said he couldn't assure me that my vehicle wouldn't break down on the road (it was an 17-year- old vehicle, after all), but at least he could say he felt that taking my truck on the road for such an extended trip was a good gamble. My mind was a little more at ease with his assessment, and it ended up being right on. I contacted him only once while I was on the road about a rattling sound I had under the hood and he graciously took my call to help me come up with hypotheses about what it could be. It ended up being nothing but a loose bolt that a different mechanic had left undone. My car did sputter out onto the side of the road from a broken fuel pump. A previous mechanic had lied to me and told me he had changed it; I found out then that he had not. I had it changed on the road and safely completed my 7500+ mile- long trip all the way back home without further incident. At the end of the day, Mr. Takeda's work held up solidly and he was spot on with his assessment of my vehicle's condition - great mechanical shape with an occasional old part that could potentially wear out. I no longer live out in the area of Mr. Takeda's shop, but I still travel all the way there any time I have issues with my truck because a trust-worthy mechanic is so difficult to find.

I took my car into Mr. Takeda for what turned out to be a simple fix. The replacement parts, however, were not typical and required several attempts by Mr. Takeda (over a week) to obtain them. In the end I had no ride to help me pick up the car, so Mr. Takeda and one of his mechanics ended up delivering the car to my home. It arrived freshly washed and in perfect working order. He accepted no money at that time but did provide a very reasonably priced bill which he trusted me to honor in my good time.

I have worked in the automotive business for nearly 20 years and so know first hand how easily customers can get mistreated and ripped off by repair shops/dealerships. I was happy to find Mike Takeda. He does good work at a reasonable price, and is honest and fair. He speaks English and Japanese well. The shop was a little hard to find at first, but it was worth the effort. It is not an unsafe area for women. I would highly recommend Takeda Enterprises.
