We've been taking our Hondas to these guys for around 6-7 years now. They specialize in factory scheduled maintenance and they're big on preventive maintenence, giving you reminders well in advance about important work like timing belts, current brake pad and tire tread levels, etc. If you drive a high mileage car like mine (1991 Honda Accord, 187,000 miles), they are a good choice, because their interest is keeping your car dependable, rather than fixing stuff when it breaks. Other cars we've taken to them are a 94 Civic (160,000+ miles), and a 2000 Accord V6 (45,000 miles). They are friendly, will go out of their way to accomodate you, and are willing to take you into the garage and show you the work they are doing or what needs repairs. They are great at diagnosing problems, are happy to take a free test drive with you to witness problems. They aren't the cheapest shop in town, but they get the job done, and in my book, that's worth paying for. I'm also always treated warmly and they know both my father and I by name, and our vehicles and rough repair history, even without checking our files (they keep extensive files and notes on all the work they do). There's probably no such thing as a perfect mechanic, but these guys are good, and since moving from Fremont, I still take my car here, all the way from San Jose and Santa Cruz.
