My experience with this shop on two separate occasions was wonderful. They ran a yellow pages coupon on a smog check, which was needed for my car (2000 Mazda Protege) after my arrival to California in May. For a reasonable price they printed a certificate and also keep a history on the computer. At the same time, a gentleman in a pickup was there to have his alternator checked and they told him the alternator was perfect but there was a problem in the wire to the indicator light that caused it to come on. Their shop is old school but they have all the appropriate ASE credentials and seem to be able to work on any type of car. More importantly, after a horrifying visit to an unnamed nationwide tire and auto service store (I went there to get a flat fixed and they told me that my front brake pads were less than 20%, that my belts were cracking and my hoses soft and that the car needed an alignment, ALL at substantial expense), Dale agreed to have one of his men look at the car to verify the tire store's "findings." Well, they correctly identified the front brake pads level at 50%, the rear at 80%, all the belts were great and the hoses too. The car was dealer maintained since December of 2000 when it was purchased new with two miles on it and I already kinda knew the tire store was full of ______. Best of all, Dale got himself a happy, loyal customer!

I called the shop after reading the review on this site. I had a check engine light and the car was missing. They told me to come on in but warned me it might be more than 2 house before they could get to me. I brought my car in. They found the problem, a cracked spark plug, and had me ready to go in about 2.5 hours from the time I arrived at the shop. The person I spoke to was friendly and easy to talk to. My dad always fixed his own cars so I know something about them but I'm no mechanic. The mechanic I spoke to reconized what I knew and adjusted his information to my level. The was a plesent surprise as most porfessionals I have met tend to talk over everyone's head or overcompesate so far that a person like me, who knows the basics, has to listen to lots of stuff I already know. All in all I was very happy with the service and will be going back.
