Rick has a very intuitive sense about these cars, and he seems to really love finding and fixing the problems that have come up. He has however said he does not like to Remove and replace the Audi transmissions.

Hugo is a very honest mechanic who charges reasonable rates. He never charges for unneccessary repairs. Always will tell you the least expensive way to fix your car.

Rick took over the shop from Hugo. Rick runs it just like Hugo did, minus the German accent. Repairs are always done in a low cost manner. They remind you about scheduled services and make things right from an oil change to major tune-ups, I have always been happy with Hugo's. That's three Volvo's and 7 years of good service. I highly recommned this shop.

Have you ever met a mechanic and fell in love. I have to say Rick is one of the last honest, competent, friendly mechanics around. I have complete faith in him and what he tells me. I can take my car in and rest assured he is advising me what is in my best interest. Like an old Family Doc, but for my car. Rick does what my dealer used to do, only better, for a better price and in less time and with a smile. He will not talk you into repairs. He will lay out your options and in many cases not advise costly repair. He will try to fix things himself instead of simply replacing them. I actually tried to get him to fix my electrical system and he made me trust him and found a simple fault that was fixed for a few dollars. Over the years now my brother and parents bring their cars to him as well. We're all happy with Rick. My only complaint is that he only works on BMW, VW, Audi and Volvo.

This shop is remarkable. They are very knowledgeable about Volvos and have freely offered recommendations for DIY things that I could do to keep my older Volvo in top shape. I was once talked out of replacing an additional item "just because you're in there for something else." I was told that the extra part I was ready and eager to purchase almost never fails - I should save my money. That's service!

Rick is great. I have taken my BMW to him a few times and he is always honest and competent. They have come in well below other estimates on both simple and major jobs. They do great work and take pride in what they do. He is a BMW owner and knows European cars well. Plus he is a great guy to work with. I strongly recommend this shop.

Just got off the phone with Rick. As usual, he explained clearly what he had done and I'm sure when I pick up the car in a couple of hours, it'll be just spiffy. Good folks.

Hugo never charged for his German Accent and has the philosophy of repair instead of replace when it is better and cheaper to do so. He has retired and his Lead mechanic, Rick, took over and follows the same philosophy, as do the other mechanics. They have saved me $1000s over the local Volvo Dealer's repair facility over the years. In addition to servicing 4 Volvos, they have also worked on our VW, BMW, and Mecedes over the years.
