Family owned, opened in Jan. 2010 I was driving from Benicia, Ca to Fallon, NV on 9/2 and broke down in Dixon, CA. AAA towed my car to Frank's garage, where both owners were working at 6:30pm! They had decided to stay open until all the work was done that they had in the shop, b/c they were closing early the next day so that they would be able to have a 2&1/2 day weekend. However, they were going to be open again on Labor Day to be available for all the travelers heading home who might need service for unfortunate reasons, just like I did. Although my experience with this garage is only once, I felt compelled to post my first ever mechanic recommdt'n on Car Talk b/c they figured out what the problem was that had caused my car to not start AND since they couldn't get the part at that time of night, they got my car running so that I could at least get home that evening. They also CHARGED ME NOTHING FOR THIS EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Best of all, they are family owned, with Frank working in the garage with his son, Brandon, who was the one who figured out what was wrong with my car and "jimmied" it to allow me to get home. Mary-Ann, Frank's wife, is also great and she manages the front office. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this garage, and I have no idea about the neighborhood it's located in, but I'd recommend it any day based upon my experience there and I'm not easily impressed!

They were fast even though their lobby was packed. And reasonable prices. I would trust them to be my life-time mechanic from other people I know who have used them, also.
