The staff at Vanderhamm's Goodyear have taken care of my '66 Buick Skylark ('84-'87), my '80 Pinto wagon ('87-'93) and currently service my '92 Toyota Corolla wagon and my two '59 Chevys. Repairs have ranged from broken timing chain to broken speedometer cable. They have been wonderful about accommodating me in emergencies and on short notice. They have stayed after closing time because my bus was late. They won't do repairs I don't need. They won't try to sell me more expensive tires than I need. I have recommended them to many friends and all who have followed my recommendation have been pleased with the service and cost. I think that there are people who won't ever move from Davis because it's harder to find good and honest mechanics than to find jobs, housing, spouses, etc.

Battery died -- my wife got it jumped, left it at the shop after hours, and they already had the new battery in when I called at 7 AM the next day

Though I don't go in more than a few times a year, they know my name when they see me and make me feel like a good friend on the phone. I live a distance away so must always hang around for the job. They really do make an effort to get my car done quickly. Everything is explained and choices given.
