Mike is a superb diagnostician, with the mind of a scientist. One important repair area he understands unusually well is computers (he is a PC hobbyist), therefore is excellent in dealing with on-board automotive computers. Another important asset is that he actually seems to enjoy explaining the repair, both beforehand and afterward. Honesty is another asset. He's so good, I probably shouldn't be recommending him because I will not be able to get a booking with him any more! It's a one-person shop, so his capacity is limited. And believe me, I'm not a PR person for him, just a long-time, extremely satisfied customer.

Mike is the just the Best!. You could eat off the floor in his shop...not that I would..it's just always very clean and tidy. He has been taking care of my cars for the last 15 years, keeping my Camaro running great at 135k miles. He also does regular maintence on our Chevy pickup-that's got 200K miles on it. He offers advice and service that has allowed these two vechicles to go on and on with no major down-time what-so-ever. Super sweet shop-dog Roxie also. Over the years, we have become very good friends as well. Your Mechanic is MY MECHANIC. .

I agree with all the positive comments of the other reviews. Mike McCollum is a hands-on guy who takes pride in finding the root cause of a problem. He keeps up to date with automotive technology and puts a lot of thought into his work. From now on, "Your Mechanic" will be the first place I call for car repairs.
