Christian and Jim are both Swedes and communicate to each other in Swedish. They are both genuinely interested in the customer and both have the highest level of integrity, trust and character. They run a honorable business.

Firstly, their address is: 2250 West Main Street Alhambra CA 91801 Phone 626.300.8915 We have used Chris and his cousin Jim for several years and we have receommended them to several others who have had good experiences with him. [he mostly does Saab and Volvo] It is a small shop, only three mechanics. They have serviced my 1995 Saab 900S for the past 6 years and have done almost every type of repair from a valve job to changing out shock absorbers. They have never made an incorrect diagnosis nor kept the car excessively long. Their prices are fair and they are friendly. The only things that are not 100% to my satifaction is that their hours in the summer are shortened and they do not work weekends. I have gone to two other after market repair places and one that you had listed in this database I made it my business to get removed.[He wanted to sell me a new tranny when all I need was a rear wheel bearing]. I recommend Chris Johansson with out reservation.

We have been using Chris' shop for over 10 years. They serviced our old 1984 Saab 900S, presently they are working on our 1998 Volvo (a lemon). They have been so good that if we would buy a used Volvo or Saab one of the reasons would be that we know we have a honest, reputable, competent mechanic. He is also sure to have only mechanics who can live up to these standards. Over the yearsm his English has gotten better, so the language barrier is not so bad. We would even buy a used car from him.

Good Scandanavian shop owned by Christian Johansson to keep old Volvo and Saab cars running and avoid dealership expense. Trys to find less expensive parts when available. Not always the fastest, but tries to finish when promised.

These guys are Swedish and like Swedish cars. Honest, straightforward and sincere. A little hard to understand but will restate it in better English if you ask. Not willing to overcharge or overdo any given repair. Tend to prefer to do less than more. Sometimes you have to persist to get them to replace stuff that hasn't completely worn oput but is readily accessible in the current repair. All in all a very good group.
