These people were so dishonest I had to file a complaint with my bank and and dispute their corrupt practices. 2/6/2012 Vehicle was taken to ALAMEDA AUTO LAB after it failed its smog check. The catalytic converter was replaced for 281.31. I was charged another $120 for the labor. The new converter was faulty, I know that it was faulty because when I went to go get my car smogged again, the NOx tested higher. 2/16/2012 Vehicle was smog re-tested at SAN LEANDRO TEST ONLY and FAILED. NOx at 15mph was 1581 (actually higher with the “new” catalytic converter) 2/16/2012 Vehicle was returned to ALAMEDA AUTO LAB. We asked for our previous Catalytic Converter back due to the fact that we now knew it was not broken. ALAMEDA AUTO LAB REFUSED. We asked for a refund of the part. ALAMEDA AUTO LAB REFUSED. We then said we would dispute charges and left. I truly have never met such dishonest bullies and the entire experience made me feel very intimidated by mechanics in general.
