Scott Murtaugh has been taking care of my 1986 Toyota 4WD truck for more than 10 years. I followed him from his previous location to this shop because I TRUST him 100%. He always takes time with me to explain any questions I have in language that is not too technical for me. He is also supportive when I decide to tackle something on my own. A few years ago we struggled with passing emissions. I took it in and it failed. I brought it to the shop and Scott worked on it I returned to emissions and it failed again!! I was fit to be tied because this has never happened before (or since). I was very frustrated, Scott said don't worry we will take care of it. He worked on it again, and had his technician take it over and it passed. He only charged me once the standard fee for emission fix!!!

All of a sudden my Camry was shuttering widly side to side when I was driving and I imagined the worst- and would have paid big money to have it fixed. I looked at this site and found Tucson Automotive with positive ratings. The owner Scott Murtaugh looked the car over right away, it was a tire with a bubble (odd as the tire was 4 months old). He looked over brakes, oil, etc, said all was in good order, and then he charged me NOTHING! Everything about the expericence could not have been nicer. His shop is clean, professional, service was fast, and I know honest. I will be taking my car here from now on. Sandra in Tucson

I'm new in town and was looking for a mechanic. They were friendly, efficient, explained everything to me (like I was an adult, not an idiot). They under promised and over delivered. I'm a new customer!

I have been so happy to have Scott and his team at Tucson Automotive as my mechanic. I followed him to his new business from his former place of employment because I always know he is straight up and honest. The no-B.S. attitude there is very refreshing. I have had several things done with them and the quality of the workmanship was excellent, as well as the customer service. And as a woman, I am very happy to not be "talked down to" by Scott. He always explained things in an open and honest way and would give me a list of things to look at for the future in order of priority and a timeline. This really helped me to plan ahead for repair work as well as to budget for those repairs. Their repair costs are very fair and I have never felt ripped off when I walked away. Good quality work, honest customer service and a fair price every time! Thank you Scott and Paul! I will miss having such a competent shop to count on when I am in Pennsylvania. I would recommend Tucson Automotive to anyone. You will be treated well and fairly. Chantel L.

The guys there at Tucson Automotive helped me out tremendously. They were able to diagnose (correctly) my VW's problem over the phone as well as give me an estimate (that proved to be correct.) What is more, they understood my wife and I's urgent need to be on the road since we live out of state. They got the vehicle in and out with good humor and prompt service. I'd definitely use their service if I lived in Southern Arizona!

I had them do a variety of work to my car, including a realignment, tranny flush, tune up, and an oil change. They were very honest about what was wrong with the vehicle and told me what may need to be replaced later on. Based on my first visit, I will gladly return to their shop for other work.

These guys fixed a clutch problem I've had 3 other mechanics look at with no success (seems simple, right?). Reasonable price, excellent response (time & content) when I talked to them about doing extensive work, and advised me what NOT to do at this time as well as what really did need work. The truck drove like new when I got it back. They are straightforward, no BS, and seem to be really solid, reliable mechanics. I'll keep going back.

As a woman I felt incredibly comfortable talking to all the mechanics here - and they took the time out of their schedule to detail to me exactly what parts of the repairs were necessary and why and how much each would cost and which ones I could possibly hold off on as opposed to those that needed immediate attention. I really appreciated their openness and honesty - I would recommend them strongly

Rich R. has been my mechanic since 1991! Competent, thorough, honest, and efficient. He's kept my truck running and in tip-top shape. Scott M. is patient, always willing to explain things and to work with me on prioritizing repairs. Costs are reasonable and in line with other shops and dealerships. They provide transportation to your home or work and will pick you up and bring you back to the shop. They are dog-friendly if you have to wait while an oil change is being completed. Clean waiting area. These guys are GREAT and I can't say enough positive facts about them. They have my trust and confidence and will work to earn yours as well.
