Doug is a third-generation auto mechanic in Tucson. His son Chris works in the garage at the present time. Doug is the most honest mechanic I've ever dealt with. He will consistently give the range of repair options, with the prices and potential ramifications. He will point out things that have to be repaired now, the things that can wait a few months, and the things to just keep an eye on. The shop is open from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon--Wed; 5:00 am to Noon Thurs; closed Fri--Sun. Doug works quickly and efficiently, and virtually always completes repairs in the timeframe promised.

Not only is this long-established, well-run shop utterly trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with, it is the cleanest garage I've seen in decades. Doug greets you at the end of the day in white coveralls that are darn clean for a mechanic. Chris shows you the parts he replaced, explains what he did, and willingly answers (even a million) questions. Their tools are organized, their work is organized, and they are organized. I've been treated fairly, and their work has been first rate. They aren't super cheap, but then, neither is the work they do. It has always seemed to me like they give a fair day's work for a fair dollar. When I had something that needed repair by the dealer, Doug and Chris returned my car with that recommendation and no charge. I'm pleased to find them.
