I bought my 2003 Forester from Camelback and they made the experience as painless as possible. They actually sold me the advertised "only one at this price" special. And I didn't see a single pair of PLAID PANTS! I have had some problems with the clutch on the manual transmission. They recently replaced it at absolutely no charge. They gave me a loaner car for 5 days (ok so it was a minivan...). They didn't try to sell me any other services. The job seems to have been done well. The car was given to me clean as a wistle. I know the clutch replacement would have been $1600 if it had not been under warantee. How their prices compare to other mechanics, I don't know. I highly recommend them.

They do good work on the small stuff and recomend that I could have something done alot cheaper elsewhere, brakes, new tires, etc.

I bought a used 2001 Forester from this Subaru and have been bringing my car back for oil changes. Oil changes can take awhile but price is very reasonable. Staff is always friendly and explains the repairs needed. Only gripes I have: 1. I had to have brakes replaced and rotors repaired but had to return it to have them readjusted the next day. 2. When I had 60K service done, everything was fine but they couldn't find my keys! They had provided me with loaner car but I had to return 2x to their shop before they found my keys.

Dear Tom & Ray: I Bought my 1999 Subaru Outback at Camelback Subaru and have taken it there for service for nine years, except for one time when I unfortunatly tried Jake's Bethany Auto Service" (one of your reccomended shops), with bad results. You can see my coments on Jake's in another e-mail that I sent to you today. Camelback Subaru has always fixed and maintained my car very well except for one possible time when they replaced my front brake pads with only 28,000 miles on them. I was surprised when they did this since they said that the pads had 50% remaining life on them only a few months earlier. But other than that one instance I have no complaints about Camelback Subaru and would reccomend them to anyone.
