I have a distrust of dealerships. I needed some work done on this car before I sold it to my sister. This was a while back, I think I had brakes replaced and some work done with the heating and cooling system. They did a nice job.

Found them on cartalk.com They solved a problem 4 other garages/mechanics couldn't solve. Very honest, kept me informed and the owner called a few days later to check whether I was happy with how I was treated.

I've used Tom and Gary for about twenty years. They almost never screw up, fix it right away if they do, and even give me advice and information if I've decided to do the work myself. They will take good care of your car and you.

Being a single female I know for a fact I have been overcharged and/or told I needed repairs when I didn't. But Thunderbird Auto treats me with respect, fixes things the first time, and cares for me (taking a 3,000 mile trip alone, even the man who returned my car was adament that I get a new tire first. And they had already told me I could get a good tire cheaper somewhere else). Needless to say, they have all my future business.

I live in Colorado and was in Sun City, Az visiting my elderly mother who needed some electrical work down on her car. Her car dealer had given her a high quote, so I looked at the Car Talk website and called Thundcerbird Automotive Services. Tom was so very kind, explained all details fully, repaired the problem right then and there, while I waited, and charged, literally, 1/5 what the Nissan dealership had quoted. While I waited, other owners came and went, all satisfied, some of them very long time customers. I enjoyed listening to Tom taking his time with all the customers, straight shooting all the way. They have certainly earned my trust and I just wish he was in MY neighborhood.
