Bekelians were formerly top mechanics at a local dealer (Powell Volvo) but opened up their own place several years ago. The do all the stuff the dealer does at lower prices and are very friendly to boot. If something can be done cheaper at the dealer (such as warranty work) they will tell you to go there and save the money. When my old Volvo was totalled, they bought it from me at a better price than the insurance would give me (and my insurance company, USAA, is a good one), fixed it up and re-sold it ethically telling the new buyer that it was a total that had been fixed up. The only thing that worries me is that they opened up a marine division where they buy, sell and fix boats (so even at the lower prices, they must be making decent money). I have used them for years for multiple Volvos (that's all they service) as have numerous other Volvo owners I know . . . I have never heard of anyone being dissatisfied.

The Bekelian brothers have been working on Volvos for a long time and I have been using them for about 8 years. Abe was apparently once the service manager at the Scottsdale Volvo dealer but got that dealer stuff out of his system. They do only Volvos and are very competent at that. Always easier to work with and less expensive than the dealer ... but if they see something the dealer will do under warranty for free, they will tell you so you can do it that way. The work is always competently and speedily done and, as getting your car fixed goes, nice to get along with. I trust them.

I have taken 4 Volvos to Bekellian over the past 8 years on multiple occasions. They explain things well and really know Volvos inside and out. I get good advice on any specific questions I have and always feel that my cars are being well maintained. If something is a potential problem but not a safety concern, Manny will let you know your options and how much to expect to pay if you decide to fix it. I have no problem recommending Bekellian to any Volvo owner in the area.

Steve Hoffmann and his crew have worked on my vehicles since 1987. He started out providing repair service along with managing an auto parts store. He initially impressed me with his desire to repair where possible, rather than wholesale replacement of units. This saved a lot of money. And the repairs lasted. Then I started to realize his interest in explaining what was wrong and giving the truthful options for resolving the problem. He was always available and worked me into his schedule wherever possible to get me back on the road, which is part of my business. Now that he has partnered with ARMS, he seems to be taking that kind of service to the next step. I intend to continue using ARMS services as long as he is there.
