The best one was when the rear differential went out on the '87 toy. Randy quoted me $1400 for the job with a used rear-diff. He was able to find a cheaper part and passed on the savings of about $400 to me!!

When I moved to Flagstaff in the fall of 2000, I asked long time friends where was the best place in town to take my car. I was told Randy's Garage. New acquaintances gave me the same recommendation. I have found Randy to be personable with competent and efficient staff. I trust all my automobile needs to this garage. Women are sometimes taken advantage of my mechanics but I don't fear this with Randy Chavez.

When I first moved to Flag, I picked this shop due entirely to the Mechan-X files (as it was known at the time) review on cartalk.com. I BELIEVE IN THE SYSTEM! I have never felt the need to take my car anywhere else. Randy is extremely helpful, and freindly, and takes the time to explain what is happening, and possible alternatives. He especially seems interested in saving you money, but will let you spend the big bucks if you really push it. The first time I took my car in, it took 3 visits before they finally found the problem. Inconvenient? Perhaps - but in the end, he only charged me for parts for my trouble! Go. See for yourself. And if you have a grasp of the human cloning process, please do what you can.

Randy is an honest and capable mechanic. I had air conditioning fixed there and did not leave with a huge bill for other work that they happened to discover. I've even dropped off my car for strange intermittent problems for which small fixes were tried at no charge. I've been very impressed with the shop's attitude and would definitely recommend Randy's.
