I dealt with this service station on 2 occasions. They are very friendly, and the place is clean. However, I have some concerns, as follows: On the first occasion they replaced a water pump that they said was leaking. I ended up supplying my own part due to this service station's percentage above retail (N.A.P.A. Auto Parts) price being considerably higher than I am accustomed to paying (higher than at a Texaco station I had used previously). On the second occasion my air conditioner was not cooling as well as it had cooled previously. This BP station said (over the phone) that maybe I would need to have my A.C. system converted to the new non-freon type (that does not damage our ozone layer), and they estimated the cost to do that would be $450. I then called the Acura dealer for comparison, and they estimated that such a conversion would cost $130-$150 at the Acura dealer. I called the BP station back to ask about the discrepancy, and they said the $450 includes changing the compressor fluid and changing some other part, and all this needs to be done to "do the job right." So I called the Acura dealer back one more time, and told them what the BP mechanic had said. The Acura dealer said it is unnecessary to change the compressor fluid and unnecessary to replace the other part in order to do the conversion. I think the BP station may have been trying to sell me some stuff I did not need.

George is by FAR the best mechanic I have ever worked with. I agree - he has gone above and beyond countless times. As a female, I always felt 110% comfortable that I could trust George to be fair. Both my husband and I feel he is the best. I can't recommend him enough. No offense to you Arkansans, but he may be the only reason I wish I still lived in Arkansas.

My family and I have relied on George Jet for years to keep our cars running. He is the most honest mechanic and car repair businessman I have ever met. I would't take my car to anyone else, and I recommend him without reservation.

George Jett has been servicing our vehicles for years. We've moved out of town, but still drive in to LR to have work done or to buy tires. They never discriminate when it comes to female customers, explaining things, etc. George is a good businessman, and their prices are always fair. They do go out of their way to be helpful, and I highly recommend them.

Great rates, very honest. Don't suggest unnecessary work.
