They are SMART! Ford (2 different dealers) wanted to remove dash and replace blender motor for $900; they found small part broken w/o removing dash and fixed for $192! Ford replaced the "Camsensor" (not certain if this is correct name)after my check engine light came on - cost me $437! Afterwords car "pinged" and mileage dropped from 24- 25 to 22-23. I told Fast Auto and owner Chris Storely got that ah-ha look, said local Ford dealer often couldn't find the tool used to calibrate (again, may be wrong term) and had to borrow his from time to time. He used his, fixed it and charged $67. Happiness! Unfortunately, I didn't find them until after my trans- mission went out with 30,000 miles on it (original) and I paid $2,300 to fix. Local Ford dealer takes advantage (see above: $900-pull- the-dash deal they offered me) and has mechanics picketing so I'd recommend steering clear of them. Chris worked for them before getting his own shop, so he knows Fords well. I'm very happy to recommend them!
