I had my daughter's car towed in---we live fourty miles away, and they did the same repair that another shop had done in Jasper five months earlier. (we got the car from our preacher, and he had the work done in Jasper where he lived) It was a timing belt replacement and while they were in there, put in a new water pump. Well, the pump went out, and I called the other shop (Livingston's Auto repair) and they said there could be no warranty. Well long story short, when Durham's pulled off the water pump, it was obviously the factory original, and the belt had teh lettering worn off. and no evidence of replacemet, such as 'blue glue', etc. While in there they asked if I also wanted the crank seal replaced, as it was leaking. For another $10.00, labor the same. When they did the same job, it was also $72.00 cheaper. They gave me the old parts, and I also have both service tickets for both jobs. They appear to specialize in small foregn cars, form the motors layingabout. They said tht they kept them if there was someone who came in with a similar model, and maybe needed only heads, etc. I went to them, as kthey were highlay recomended by a friend, who said thta his brother realy liked them and recomended them to everyone. Durham's Garage has been used by everyone in my family. My grandfather, father, uncles, and aunts have all received excellent mechanic services there. Very honest and competent. And it is a faily owned/operated business. Father and son. They are a great team.

When I first moved to Alabama over 40 years ago, I was broke down on the side of the road on a weekend. Bobby Durham worked for a large auto dealership at that time so I know he wasn't looking for work yet he stopped to help me! He has been my first choice mechanic and friend since then. His son grew up with mine and is also a very competent mechanic. I trust them completely and they are so kind to listen to my wild speculations about what may be causing the problem and then just fixing the real problem quickly and reasonably. My only regret is that they don't work on a/c or transmissions. I recommend them often with confidence. Thanks again to Bobby and Bobby Joe! –Jerry Geddings
