I have been going to AAA-1 Subaru for 3 Subarus time now. Kurt and Don run the best shop in town. AAA-1 Subaru only works on Subarus. This is good and bad. It is great because they know all about Subarus, have parts on hand, and give great service quickly for reasonable prices. It is bad because: I am dreading the day my Loyale dies, as I will have to look for another car, and my wife's CR-V fits better than any of the current Subarus (they're too small). I I wonder if Kurt would start working on CR-Vs? They're kind of like Foresters...

Their name changed to A&A The Shop. The shop is reputable and do a good job. However, they tend to do more than a customer asked for and charge it. For instance, when I brought a car for a minor electric problem (headlamp), instead of looking into what's wrong with the particular problem they did a complete electrical diagnosis and charged it. I ended up with paying more on this diagnosis than actual repair. When I asked about this, their reply was that they do "standard" complete diagnosis for all electrical problems, regardless the severity of the problem.

Brought in a '01 Impreza o/b sprt for 4 new shocks/struts. When I called for an estimate, it was $200 less than the dealership down the street (however, still fairly expensive, but its Alaska, looks like everything is). They did error in doing an alignment that was not asked for, but QUICKLY made that a freebie when it was pointed out that it was not requested work. Note they ONLY work on Subarus, they literally will not even touch a tire of another make (as I found out). They have a drop off box if their hours of ops don't work.

This shop was given an unsolcitated positive recommendation by a business professional. They only service Subaru's and have developed a loyal following of customers that have long used their professional, friendly and fair service. When I became an owner of a new 05 Forester I took it to them for my first oil changes. Easy to set up appointments and fairly prompt completion. Nice waiting area, or you can drop off your car. My second visit took a little long as they had locked my key in the car, went to the dealer and got a new key to get in. They apologized for gave me the key and the oil change at no charge. Pretty nice gesture, however if they had told me of the lock out I could have got them right in with the remote door opener. I will be back for my next routine service or repair needs. Nice folks.

The place to go for Subarus. Their lot is always full of everything from new to bruised. But they keep them running.

We've been going to these guys for over 10 years with no complaint. They have always done great work, and recent upgrades to the "amenities" (remodel of office & waiting room, paving the lot, etc) are nice touches. It is like family - they remember their customers & they remember their customer's cars. Don't know why anyone with a Subaru would go anywhere else for service!
